Been too long

I haven't posted anything in a while. I had 26 photo sessions in October so it's been pretty busy. Now I just have to find time to finish editing them all. Anyway, here's one from a recent session. It made it all the way to page 6 on the Popular section of 500px. If you follow that site then you know that's not too easy. If you don't, you should check it out. There are some amazing photographs on there. So here's the link to that photo. If you like it, then click the little thumbs up. :)  You don't even have to sign up to like photos or comment.

Test shoot - One off-camera flash at sunset

My first attempt at a one light, almost night setup. I only had about 20 minutes to set up, and try and figure it all out before the sunset was gone. Pretty different from my other stuff, but I think I'll try some more of this.

The International

I posted this image a long time ago, but just processed it again.

Just a Little Photoshop...

Sometimes things aren't always perfect so a lil Photoshop comes in handy. The mom really wanted to do this photo, but the kids weren't completely cooperating. Combined these 3 to make the one. It was quite a bit of work. I used her face from one, the boy from another, then had to get rid of him to replace with the other. Then I drew the bottom of the post back in where his head was covering it, and the corner of the crate where his hand was. Then I changed the words on the sign. And if you look really close, I drew 6 tennis shoes on an ant that's in the grass.

Another Spider

This guy sat still long enough for me to set up a tripod so I could get some pretty sharp shots. The wind still messed me up some. It's not bad considering the flower is only about the size of a quarter.

Sad Boy

This is one of my favorites I posted a while back, but just redid it. He's not really crying. He was playing along, and I added the tear in photoshop.

I hate spiders but...

This guy was on my car barely moving so I wasn't too afraid to get close to get this shot.

Buffalo Creek

To me, this photo looks much better at full size, but I'll post it anyway. You can't see any of the detail that really makes it cool. I added a crop of one section so that maybe you could see some of it. The processing probably won't appeal to some, but it's something I wanted to do and I think it turned out pretty cool.

Free HDR course!

I hate to sound like an advertisement, but I'm sure you'll be glad you downloaded this free course. I have watched his digital blending course and it is amazing. I've been using digital blending ever since, not only on HDRs, but other images as well. I can't wait to see these.
