Before and After Monday

The After

The Before

I took this photo just a couple months after getting my first camera. I was probably still using the Full Auto setting then. I cropped it quite a bit, and adjusted the perspective so it would look like I was shooting straight on instead of up. I didn't like the plain looking brick so I desaturated it quite a bit, and increased the contrast some. Finally, I used the Unsharp Mask tool because the words on the alarm and the leaves were a little blurry.

  1. I like both pictures! But if I HAD to pick...I guess I would pick the first one. Just more detail. But both so pretty in their own way!

  2. I really like the brick treatment. I didn't even notice it which means I was directed to the rusty alarm. The bottom one is good too with all the different textures - vine, rust, brick, windows. Great eye.

  3. I'm favoring the AFTER shot. I really like what you did....don't exactly understand it all but live it a lot.

  4. I like what you did,but I also like the first picture,-- but it's great that you are trying new things, and discovering different ways of presenting the
    same subject.
