My Ghost Story- Part 1 of 2

As I mentioned in an earlier post, something strange happened to me while I was at this old factory. Actually, a couple things; here is the first.

It happened in the room in the photo. The door on the right is the only way in or out. I walk in and quickly look around, but I am curious to see what is in the small opening on the left with the sliding door. I go over and look inside and it's nothing but old junk. As I start to turn around I notice something in the air above the old wooden table that is beside the entrance. From the corner of my eye I can see something floating about 2 feet above the table. As I turn completely to see what it is, it slams down on the table. For a few seconds I stood there frozen, wondering if I really saw what I just thought I did. I wasn't scared, but I was just in total disbelief. I finally snap out of it, and then the only way I knew for sure that I really did see something floating in midair is because the dust was still swirling from where the wooden box had slammed back down to the table. There are no shelves, and nothing that it could have fallen from. In fact, I had glanced at it when I first walked in because I was wondering if anything was in it, or in the table drawers below it.

What is just as strange is that it didn't scare me at all. It did make me question my sanity a little. I even stayed in the room for a while longer taking photos (and it was actually quite a bit darker in there than it looks in the photo). But, like I mentioned before, this wasn't the only thing to happen. In fact, the next incident made me go ahead and call it a day while I was ahead. I'll probably post that story tomorrow, or it might make a good one for next Halloween.

  1. That is so cool!! I love these kind of stories. I believe that people do come back sometimes. Usually not to do harm, but just to visit. Sometimes they just have to make their presence known. I believe that my dad came to me one time when I was working in an out-building at work. My grandfather also sent a message right after he died through one of his and my favorite hobbies...gardening.

  4. Weird! That place does look a bit haunted. It kind of reminds me of something out of the game Myst. So here we are...waiting for Ghost Story, part 2.

  7. First, I would NEVER have gone in there alone. Second, I cannot wait for part 2. Third, I'm so glad I already poured my glass of wine. Very cool! And next time, take photos. A lot that we can't see with our own eyes is often revealed in a photo. So very cool!
