The After
The Befores
After creating the HDR in Photomatix, I brought it into Photoshop. There I used the Distort tool to straighten up the right side a little. I didn't like how much the sign post was leaning. I also used Unsharp Mask on everything except the plants. Grass, shrubs, and trees don't usually look right when sharpened too much. I increased the contrast on the two green street signs to make them stand out some.
It might be hard to tell at this size, but this photo has a ton of chromatic aberration, most of which I haven't corrected yet. That's the downside of HDR. It really increases that, and noise.
great pics, wow.

What you're doing is way above my head but, all I can say is, I am always totally amazed at your 'befores' and 'afters.' So cool!
ReplyDeleteGood series! Arianna
ReplyDeleteReally great! Still not sure how you straightened up that post.
ReplyDeleteEasy. I just used the Straighten Sign Post tool in Photoshop. ;)
DeleteYou are so great at editing photos! It seems like you know all of your editing software tools very well! I'm still learning mine!
ReplyDeleteA cracking set of before and afters. After seeing those videos i look more at the before and thinking. What parts would i pluck from each of these images.....cracking after shot aswell, and i know what you mean with unsharp masking the grass, complete nightmare.
